Media players

81. Start and stop playback
Press [Ctrl] + [P] to play or pause in Windows Media Player; press [Ctrl] + [S] to stop. iTunes users should press [Space] to start or stop, while in WinAmp you should press [X] to play, [C] to pause, and [V] to stop- hold [Shift] as you press [V] to fade out.


82. Keep it down!
Press [F8] or [F9] to adjust the volume in WMP. iTunes users should hold [Ctrl] while pressing the up or down arrow key; Winamp users can just use the arrow keys on their own.


83. Navigate your playlist
Press [B] to skip to the next track in Winamp, or [Z] to go back. WMP users should use [Ctrl] + [F] or [Ctrl] + [B]. iTunes uses the left and right arrow keys.

84. Toggle modes
Press [Ctrl] + [2] to switch to Skin Mode in Windows Media Player; [Ctrl] + [1] switches back to full mode. Press [Ctrl] + [M] to switch to mini mode in iTunes. To set up mini mode in Winamp, press [Alt] + [E] to hide the Playlist Editor, and then press [Alt] + [L] to hide the Media Library.


85. Shuffle or repeat
Switch shuffle on or off in Windows Media Player by pressing [Ctrl] + [H]; do the same with repeat by pressing [Ctrl] + [T] together; press [S] or [R] respectively in Winamp.
