31. Open Windows Explorer
To quickly open a Windows Explorer window at the My Computer level, press [Windows] + [E]. Open a new Explorer window by pressing [Ctrl] + [N].


32. Navigating in Explorer
Select a folder in the left-hand pane and press the right cursor key to show any sub-folders. Press it again to reveal sub-folders within sub-folders, or press the left key to close the folder. Hold [Alt] as you press either key to move between folders in the list.


33. Viewing folders
Press [Numlock] + [*] on the numeric keypad to quickly show all of the currently selected folder's sub-folders - collapse this view by pressing [-] on the numeric keypad as you hold [Numlock].



34. View folder contents
To display its contents instead, hold [Numlock] and press [+] on the numeric keypad instead. Use [Home] and [End] to jump to the top and bottom items in the currently selected folder.


35. Maximise windows
Press [F11] to maximise the size of the current window for easier navigation - this also works in Internet Explorer.
